Default Sometimes I'm tempted...

to sound off about uneducated guesses in reply to honest questions here. As many of the off-the-wall replies serve to confuse and confound, they kinda get me going before I calm my jets. The truth is, yes, they do confuse the issue at first, but then those guesses are shot down quickly with usually polite explanation. The end result being that the thinking man can decide for himself which of the responders has given him the straight skinny, and the conversation being refreshed often keeps the subject matter in front of the whole barn, a valuable education for everyone.

This morning I got a PM from one of our more vocal posters (not a dig), a tongue in cheek reminder that I have been guilty of putting forth a guess at times myself. I had to read back in my post to see what I said, and yup, I had failed to include myself as one of those I had written about. We all do tend to hang on to our beliefs about how these Fords like to be treated, even in the face of compelling evidence to the contrary. My apologies to all and I'll carefully climb down off my tall horse now.

I'd say many of us like to ride tall in the saddle once in awhile.

I didnt pm ya but you might be talking about my posts!!! Ha but that would make me a narcissist to think that, and if ya knew me... Well whatever.

We talked about it before and i think thoughts or opinions get the ball rolling. Doesnt mean that it is wrong. We gain more more from outside thinking then we do from just plain negitive thoughts. We are all subject to both and do exibit both publically or privately.

Who determines if its an uneducated guess just because it differs from your opinion. Maybe the person disagreeing is wrong, is that possible? Is it possible to have more than one correct answer to a problem/question. I think so.
As far as polite explanations go, How about the thread on "mushroom lifters"
where the "experts" say " If your not going to follow my advice don't ask for anymore" or " I sure am getting tired of these B/S questions". Those don't sound like polite answers.
I guess some people enjoy putting other people down, maybe it pumps their ego.
