Default lowest mileage Model A ?

I was looking through some early '80's Model A News magazines and one letter writer recalled a friend in central CA (Fresno) area that had a '30 Model A with 400 miles on it...never restored.
Does this car still exist in someone's collection?
Is that the lowest original mile car on record?

Anything is possible, but 2 Model A's that have featured here on FB are the Late Dave Lopes '29 Fordor which has about 4K miles [ & beautiful condition] also Wick has a '30 Town Sedan with about 1300 miles [ & a delivery sticker still] but suffered some deterioration damage due to damp storage.
There must be others.

There was a lady back in the 70's that the husband drove the car home. That night he died of a heart attack. This car was in a garge all thous years, she would not sell back then. It had like 5-10 miles on it.

I have heard several variations of this story over the years.
I even tried to chase one down, about the new owner of a '28 Roadster Pick Up, who drove it home in the rain, got sick and died. His son even jacked it up and had the wheels, hanging on nails, in the garage. This was in the early 60s, so it could have been plausable.
Needless to say, after checking in the neighborhood, nobody ever heard of them.
Wild Goose Chase ?? Who knows, maybe it is still out there.

this is what I am trying to find out...not "he said, she said". I am not writing a book, just curious.
there are many tales of Model T drivers buying 2 and keeping 1 for backup.
> For a Model A..can anyone document an original unrestored Model A Ford with less than 1000 miles unrestored.

Several super low mile cars were "restored" in the 50's..60's. Are there any totally original untouched low mile cars still available for reference?
please chime in.

I'd even like to know about some of the low mile vehicles restored in the 50's and 60's. Where are they now?

Not a model a. But when I was a kid. I mowed a old guys yard. That had a 68 camaro that his son got new. Put a little over 200 miles on it. And went to Vietnam and did not come back. He never moved it out of garage. The tires were dry rotted. Other than dust. It looked new. I have no idea what happened to it. He died and everything was gone pretty quick.

I am in the Garden State Model A Region of AACA. In the 70s one of the members bought a 29 Fordor out of Long Island with something like 1200 miles. It had been jacked up in a garage, either the husband died or he turned on it . he brought it to some shows for a year or two then sold it.My club used to have annual shows at Ace Ford in Woodbury,NJ and they advertised it on the radio."come out and see an original, showroom new Ford from 1929". It could have been the Lopes car. I didn't personally see it but I'll ask some of the older members who did.
