This thead is bugging me. I have an all original unrestored 29 standard coupe and LB was the company that I was going to go with when I had enough money to restore it. Now I bummed out a bit. I had a seat once in my 31 and it had a LB seat cover installed and it looked and felt very nice. Are these just occasional " misfortunes"?

I asked the question in post #8.

The post you quoted was not my post, it was posted by ronn in post #17.

Are you replying to me, or to ronn?

Not to be political, but I would have fired him.
I miss Elizabeth.
Note that my beef was with the kid that answered the phone. He was not a good envoy for L-B and should not have been allowed to talk to customers. Since that telephone conversation earlier this summer, I have ordered from L-B. Thanks Goodness, I didn't talk to the kid again. I did receive the kick panels I ordered in a very reasonable time. I am quite satisfied with L-B's products.

To reinforce the earlier comments, I called LB this week to get a missing page that they left out of their roadster top install instructions. I also received a not so warm response. It was quite a simple request, I only needed them to provide the page that they left out but the salesperson who answered the phone seemed put out a bit at having to deal with my request.

By the way, he identified himself and he is one of the three salespeople listed on their website.

Save your bread and butter money folks. You may be able to buy an upholstery supplier at a bargain. At this rate it won't be long before LB begins losing enough business to cause them to go out of business.

To put it into perspective, think of the reception and service you get from Bert's and compare that to LB.

It is a bummer to hear this about Lebonney Baron. I have always thought they set the bar for interiors.

Yep, completely agree. Some companies just don't seem to figure that out though. Our local Walmart seems to come to mind for some reason, maybe its because I'm getting of wrestling someone to the ground to get any service.

I have purchased three interior kits and 1 Cabriolet top from LaBarron Bonney. I installed all of them myself except the convertible top. The instructions were complete but they looked like copies.
I am not a upholstery expert and I found that if you take your time it should go well. I had the convertible top done by one of their recommended installers located in Sterling Heights , Michigan.
I felt the product was excellent and most original unless you have Bill Sturm or another Model A Expert do the job.
The first car was a 4 door Briggs , The second one was a 1930 tu door , the third one was a 1930 Cabriolet that I entered into fine point judging and did quite well.
I was going past Amesbury , Mass two weeks ago and stopped at the Labaron Bonney plant and there were two women that have been with the company for a very long time that were very helpful. I would strongly recomment them anytime. One person does not make a company so you might have to ask for someone that owns the company if you have a problem. Norm

I just asked them for info on my 1929 coupe daily driver and they sent me all the info I needed. What I received looks it will do what I want to do. Even sent samples of fabric. Have not ordered yet so don't know what will happen then.

Upholestry has been pretty well hashed out. What about their other catalog items lights and other interior parts - quality or not?
