i hope you are not putting that long bearing in the in put shaft. the cluster gear takes one long and one short bearing. the in put shaft takes a short bearing. one of my model a buddies rebuilt his transmission with all new gears and bearings. it did the same thing as yours and his would not shift either with our grinding. he pulled the trans out and sold it to me all that was wrong with it was he had put the long bearing in the input shaft.

I got good new ones from Bert’s last July. You might call and see if they still have them.
