1952 Ford F1 Door Glass Install
I'm in the process of reinstalling the glass in my doors. I thought I had purchased everything to complete this task but I am stumped by one thing. I don't have anything to put in the channel on the division bar opposite the vent window. I purchased from LMC and they don't seem to sell any weather stripping to fit in that channel. Anyone know what's supposed to go there for the window to slide through? If I remember correctly there was nothing in there when I got the truck.

It's 7C-8122296/97
Yeah, there's definitely soft material inside that channel in the factory parts. https://autopartsobsolete.com/1948-4...c-8122296.html Undoubtedly other vendors have just the seals too, and I found these online pretty quickly...... https://www.cmwtrucks.com/product/48...er-metal-pair/ and..... https://www.npdlink.com/product/run-division-bar/131408 |

Your "quest" is already handled......
See the second half of my response. The wearing part of those channels (the seal portion) is available through at least two suppliers. https://www.cmwtrucks.com/product/48...er-metal-pair/ AND https://www.npdlink.com/product/run-division-bar/131408 These might not work if your division bar is non-"stock"....... as it apparently is on the one side. |

Agreed, I'm not this ready to work on the window seals yet but this will be very useful when I am. Thanks

Re: 1952 Ford F1 Door Glass Install
I finally got my second order of a five foot piece of 3/8" glass run channel from Amazon. Evidently the first order got lost and was refunded. I lucked out because the price dropped from $40 to $32. I got one window installed today. It's a bit tight but will work and hopefully will get looser with time.. The other one with the 3D printed inserts turned out to be just under 3/8" and was too tight. I removed one side of the insert making the channel 7/16" and this seems to work fine. My glass is 15/64" thick and the run is supposed to be good for up to 7/32" so I'm a bit over.
