right side open car stanchion mirror
The stainless stanchion on the right side on a 30-31 roadster has no mounting hole for a mirror, and I would like to drill and add a mirror just like the one on the drivers side. To do this the back SS cover plate needs to be removed to attach a nut to the mirror, but I'm not sure how the best way to remove that cover. I'm sure this has been done many times, so any suggestions on best way to do this. Thanks, John

Re: right side open car stanchion mirror
How about using a "rivnut", they can be installed w/out the special tool.
