Re: 1932 V8 standard roadster update
Beautiful restoration David, can't wait to see it in person when this Covid epidemic is over. I have a question for you. I noticed that your car has a tail light on the passenger side. Was that stock for a standard roadster?

Re: 1932 V8 standard roadster update
Thanks for the compliments, guys.
woodiewagon46, The second tail lamp was a dealer-installed accessory. The only thing different about it from the left side lamp is the bracket, which was the version used on right-hand-drive cars plus a crossover wiring harness. I am surprised that no one has commented on the car's three rear view mirrors, just like a modern car, given it left the factory with only one. All of the parts used for the other two are genuine Ford '32 components. |

Re: 1932 V8 standard roadster update
Wonderful, I did quickly notice the three mirrors because I read the book. I also don't think you are the guy to question on these points. HaHa.
Now for a few million more pics...... |

Re: 1932 V8 standard roadster update
David, it appears that the license plate lamp lens is red in the RH tail lamp. Was the dealer installed second tail lamp supplied like this?

Don't know much about stock restored deuces as I'm more of a hot rodder but I can sure appreciate a top notch restoration like yours

Re: 1932 V8 standard roadster update
I noticed the three mirrors, didn't want to interrupt the chorus of well deserved complements. Anxious to see the interior and trunk. Standard roadsters by factory definition are austere vehicles, your roadster is anything but austere, it changes the meaning of standard. "Well done" is an understatement.

Re: 1932 V8 standard roadster update
Exceptional restoration!
I especially like the blackwall tires and black wheels. |
