Brian , Lawrie thanks!
Much heart ache and and almost some tears went into this engine build.
I took over a year and four months to do this and I wanted to do whatever I could myself. Bearing caps were lost, a crank turned wrong and wrecked and countless other things that went on and on while in the shop.. But I got through it with the help of Brian and Lawrie who patiently listened to my whining and questions.. Brian kicked it off with donating the copper head gaskets and sending all the way from NZ! Pilot block [basically a 37] 21 stud .030 over , three ring ali pistons, heaps of port matching , blending of transfer area and work in the heads. 33 steel cam with ali gear, one piece valves from Gary [GoesFast], lightened flywheel, later oil pump , 90% oil mod. All balanced. Electronic Ign, reds headers and topped off with slingshot. While breaking it in I ran it up to 75 MPH and it felt like it was just getting going! Thanks again Brian and Lawrie , kiwi legends and good mates!
