Re: Toilet paper oil filter adapter
My '29 Tudor with a 59a engine has had a Frantz filter on it since 1958. Original owner builder runs one on his 260Z too. Modern toilet paper will NOT work! Biodegradable so they break down with water moisture. One has to buy there filter rolls now.

That being said , what is the advantage, if any over modern oil filters? None in my opinion.

Re: Toilet paper oil filter adapter
I agree fordwife, or find a company that make toilet paper that’s strong enough for the filter. It might work.
I don’t know how its use would work In the bathroom? Pretty rough stuff. Lol. Last edited by Blastfromthepast; 02-01-2021 at 10:38 AM. |

On an engine with a full flow filter, adding a Frantz as a bypass unit allows smaller particles to be filtered out of the oil over time. Using a combination of full flow and bypass filters is a common practice in large over the road trucks and other commercial applications. |
