1928-1929 Top bows-wood and tack material?
I have a '29 standard phaeton with top that needs replacing. All the parts companies show four straight wooden bows that fit the iron. However, I see no mention of the material in the curves of the iron which presumably allows the top material to be tacked in place.
What is this material and how is it replaced? In my bows, it is cracked clay-like material. I'm sure there's a simple answer...I just haven't found it! Thanks! |
