Open Car 'Curtain Light' finish.
The Standards call for the open car soft top rear window frame to be a "rubberized enamel" satin-gloss Black finish. Has anyone ever inspected an original one upclose enough to determine the finish texture? In striving to be aesthetically correct, are we thinking that using a light coat of rubberized bedliner paint would authentically replicate this finish, -or was the surface finish a thicker flowed-out enamel?
I guess in my mind, I am trying to determine what the reason for the 'rubberized' finish was instead of just dipping it in Black enamel. |

Brent I have two super nice originals and there is no texture to the finish. it just looks a little like heavy paint.

Like it was dipped in enamel multiple times with a smooth flow-out, -or like it was sprayed with a slight orange peel texture??
