Replacement Speedometer Cables
Just wanted to say that, I bought a Replacement Speedometer Cable from one of the Larger Model A Suppliers. Before I installed it, I thought I would check the inner cable to see if it was Lubricated. I pulled it out and it was dry. I also noticed some very light Rust colored dust on it. Needless to say I cleaned it and Lubricated it before installing it. I think some of Model A guys might have just taken it out of the package and installed it as is. It would be nice if they had a Note saying "Lubricate Cable before Installing".
I'm sure the Cable's life would have been shortened to use it without Lubrication. Just a Heads up!

Re: Replacement Speedometer Cables
You are right on this. I replaced my Mitchel cable recently & it also needed lubing. I pulled the original & lubed it as well & now all works great. The suppliers need to post that info. for everyone.
