If you have a spray gun the best paint is in the can with paint no the spray cans.

Roy Nacewicz www.fordbolts.com

His paint is the only commerically-available offering (that I'm aware of) matched to the original color. Good stuff!

I agree with the others Hirsch is the way to go. That is unless you are participating in the St. Patty's day parade. Then you would fit right in with some of the other "ford green" engine paint sold by other vendors! Available in both quarts and rattle cans.

I bought a couple of rattle cans from Berts and really like it. Perfect color match and it dries faster than any paint I have seen. Seems to go a long ways too.

Greetings on this Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada. What is the formula or source for the GREY Ford engine paint for Canadian Model A's?
Thanks Grant.

Original engine color varied. I have seen a brighter green paint on some NOS 1928 engine parts, and variations in the tint of the paint on later parts.

Batches of paint at the different factories had to vary a bit with different suppliers and such. I think The Hirsh color is very close to many I have seen. An early bellhouse I cleaned up was a bit lighter but defiantly Ford engine green
