'30 - '31 Roadster package tray
I am gathering parts for the interior sheet metal - floor pans, seat risers etc. - for my '31 roadster and have everything located except for the package tray assembly.
If anyone can please post a picture of the package tray assembly for a '30 - '31 roadster it would be a great help. I am missing this assembly and don't know exactly what to look for and how it mounts. Thanks in advance for any help! Bob |

Re: '30 - '31 Roadster package tray
Please let me be a little more specific about what I am hoping to find.... If anyone has a photo of a '30 / '31 roadster with the driver's seat cushions removed that shows how the wood and package tray all tie together at the back of the front passenger compartment it would show me exactly what I am missing. All I have now is an open area between where the front seat goes and the rumble compartment...see the pic below.
Or, if anyone can direct me to a book that has photos showing how this area should look it would be very helpful. Unfortunately I don't know of a roadster locally that I can look at that would answer my questions. Thanks again for any help anyone can offer. |

Re: '30 - '31 Roadster package tray
The wood becomes part of the seat. The first pic is one temporarily removed from an 18k mile car. The second is one I was redoing years ago.
Pic #3 shows another view of the body half of the package tray. The tray bolts on along with the tack rail with the tray under the body lip and of course the tack rail is on top. The center clip on the tray is for Deluxe models only. The smaller half of the tray shown in 62pan's post (#2) is the two position 'adjuster' which is attached to the top rear of the backrest cushion. You can see the impression from it in pic #1. The remaining pics show how the lower end is attached and a finished package tray area.

Re: '30 - '31 Roadster package tray
It would be great if someone could post the length and width of the seat spring measured on the backside, if someone has one uninstalled. Just want to make sure I get the right one. The bottom spring looks obvious as it must nest into the seat riser.
