I have always liked that little extra touch on the ‘28 interiors, and regret that it wasn’t available for my ‘29s. LeBaron Bonney used to offer it. I wonder if there is any stock left from their bankruptcy and sale. Anybody know who bought them out?

As I mentioned Lebaron Bonney offered coachlace trim but it was stamped as opposed to a weaved manufacture. Where they derived their pattern from was beyond me as it doesn't do the original any justice. I'm waiting for SMS to make mine. I agree it adds a nice touch.

I was told by a weaving company that looked very close at the sample (taken from behind my side panels) I sent them that the colors included pearl white, black pearl and lavender black.

I have several remnants left of L/B's coachlace and windlace that I just looked at. When you say that their product was stamped, are you saying it was molded, -or the pattern was dyed into the fabric after it was loomed?

I finally received my new coachlace trim this month and had it installed a few days later. You can get original patterns made but boy does it take patience and you have to be persistent and know what you're looking for.

It took me 7 yrs of looking and waiting and looking again and then being persistent to get the coachlace and sourcing out the original interior patterns.

I've attached photos of coachlace (IT is NOT the windlace as many will tell you).

Even the company that made it still insist calling it windlace to the last contact !! I don't get it. They even made it so it could be used as windlace....GEEEE !

I also attached some photos of my new carpet. I still had the original rear carpet (with the leather strip for the rear of the front seat to rest on )

Enjoy ! FYI SMS Auto fabrics was the company I received all my interior material from .

That really does look very nice. Congrats to you on achieving this.
