Replacement Radiator from US Radiator?
I'm looking at ordering a copper/brass radiator for my 40 Sedan Delivery manufactured by US Radiator. Anyone have any experience with this? Also... What pressure can you run with it?
Thanks for any help you guys can provide. |

Re: Replacement Radiator from US Radiator?
I bought one about 8 years ago for a '47, 59AB. They used their 'desert cooler' core. My top tank was in good condition and was reused. Excellent quality, easy to work with as well.

Thanks wga, makes doing what I've done for 40 years worth the effort..
Jim, cap pressure ratings differ by engine. If your still running the flathead would suggest 7-10 psi, later 6's and 8's would suggest 12-14 psi. Be sure to use a "sealed system" cap where the center button on the underside of the cap snaps shut. You can pull on it to see what I'm talking about. It opens to allow coolant to return to the radiator after cool-down under a vauum. |
