Re: Ing.switch removal 50 cpe
I don't know if this will help, but I have '51 I just changed, and I had to hold hold the switch against the dash from the back while pushing and turning from from the front. I had some help, which made it easier.

If it is the same type as I am thinking of, you have to push the switch from under the dash towards the rear of the car to rotate and remove the bezel. As previously stated.

Re: Ing.switch removal 50 cpe
I've had mine in/out several times lately and find it quit easy by using a 3/8 hollow shaft nut driver. Put the nut driver on one of the electrical terminals and push gently. It's much easer than using fingers and it allow you to get further into the dash under area without bending the wrist. If you insist on not buying a nut driver, you could use a 3/8 socket and 6" extension.
