I suggest that you take a look at the u-tube video by "Opera", very interesting modifications. Dead nuts accurate.l've posted this info before, no one seemed interested, here's the link to one of his videos, https://youtu.be/W7rXdZVCz1Q

Re: Sun Machine serviced
http://paramountd.com/parts.html I got the parts here and did it myself. Not hard to do. Comes with good instructions.

What all did you get, the LED kit, the resistor kit, belts??? The WHOLE shabang??? I'm trying to figure the economics of what to offer on a machine. |

Re: Sun Machine serviced
I'll second Mark at Paramount. You can do the work your self or send it off to him. Personally any machine I have would have the LED kit his wheel roller and the battery delete kit. You can mail the machine to him and he can repair for you or even completely restore it. The Machine I took to the Eastern Meet in the seminar was one he restored.

Re: Sun Machine serviced
I found a Penske analyzer at Hershey one year and connected it to the sun machine and use that for all my readings as the sun instruments needed a lot of work before I would trust them ,the Penske analyzer gives me dwell ,RPM hi and low ,point res,and a couple other things, really works great and has a high resolution easy to read,,I’ve checked it against my KRW 126 and it’s dead on,,
I use the krw to set the timing on the flatheads dist and use the sun for checking and the advance on distributor, works out good,, I still use a 6 volt battery ,optima ,and keep it charged when using machine, My flash is a little dim but at 86 I’m a little weak also!!!

Re: Sun Machine serviced
I picked up a machine fairly cheap at an estate sale, only the motor worked. I bought the capacitor kit and some other odds and ends from Mark and the strobe and everything works now.
