Default Neutral starting switch

Can anyone verify that a 58 Ford switch, which I'm told can start in PARK & NEUTRAL, will work on a 56 with Fordomatic?
Thanks
Jim

Yes, the 58 switch will work fine.bolt-in replacement. An easier to find( and cheaper)switch is one from an early 60s truck with automatic.

Hi Paul
Would you know of a specific year that I could look for?

I think any of the 60-64 truck switches will work.I used a 61 switch on my 56 car.
