Was at a small show this afternoon and saw a nice 55 Victoria 2 dr hardtop with what looked to be stainless steel trim on the rocker panels. I was wondering if that is correct and if so, is it also appropriate for a 56 Victoria? I was thinking that it may be a Crown Vic trim??

That trim was an option for all 55/56 Fords.

Was it actually a factory option, or a dealer installed accessory ?

Sal,I'm not positive,but pretty sure it was factory installed if ordered with the car,but there were probably a lot of them installed later at the dealer.

I liked the look of it so I went and found that they are available but at $400 bucks a pair, I'll live without them. The only thing I may add this summer is a set of new wide whites. Damn mine look dingy. Thanks for the replies guys.
