My 47 car just crack its 2nd passenger side door glass in a month. I have had this car for 17 yrs. and never had a problem with the glass since installing new glass then. Both times it cracked at the front top corner. The track looks fine and clean. Anyone have this
problem or is it my passengers slamming to hard ? Moe

Is there a screw or rivet its contacting in the felt channel

If the window channel, wipers, & seals are old the window can move around too much. If someone replaced them then the previous answer might have a bearing. They need all the padding they can get with no contact of any metal parts. Not too tight and not too loose. Shutting the doors normally shouldn't cause any problems but if a door is out of adjustment it could for your passengers who may have problems getting them closed properly.

Thanks Guys, will take the cracked window out while looking for obstruction as you's have said. Moe

Same thing happened to me with new glass on my '36 5 window. Figured out the when the shop cut the glass it was just a little bit "too big" at that point and hit the metal when I tried to crank it "all the way up and forward", as the 36 windows do. Rod
