Re: Taillights 1933
Here is a rear shot of a 1933 Ford Victoria. The Tail Lights look to be the same length as the other models. |

By comparison, here is a rear shot of a 1934 Ford Victoria. The Tail Lights look to be longer than the other models? |

Another angle of the rear of this 1934 Ford Victoria showing the Tail Lights. They do look longer on the 1934 Ford Victoria compared with the 1933 models? |

Re: Taillights 1933
And your photo also shows the rare, early production non-skirted fenders used on very early ‘33 Fords assembled in Portland, Oregon. The only known examples are all believed to have come from the Pacific Northwest.

Re: Taillights 1933
If you thought that the Tail Light Stems on the 1934 Ford Victoria were long, take a look at these comparison Stems. Back when these cars were new in Australia, it seems that the New South Wales Government introduced a Law that required both Tail Lights to be seen at once. That meant that the Stem had to be lengthened. On the underside of the longer Stem, you can see where the Originals were cut and a piece inserted. I believe that this Law only applied to cars sold and Registered in New South Wales. |

Re: Taillights 1933
Above are two photos of the Lengthened Stems on a pair of restored Australian 1933 Fords. Lengthened to meet the NSW Law. As they were so long, Ford Added a Support Bracket that attached to the rear Bumper. By adding this Bracket, it stopped the excessive vibration on these long Stems. There is always something new to learn about these old Fords. |

Re: Taillights 1933
The tail lights are the same on all 1933-34 Ford passenger cars. It is the tail light brackets, not the tail lights that you are inquiring about.
