Default Galvanized Model A?

I removed a 5 window top from a 28/29 coupe and when some of the paint fell off it appeared to be galvanized metal under it. The top has rust however. Did they make any galvanized Model A parts?

dont think so - me thinks the farmer used some tin roof off the barn to fix the roof...

Could you be seeing lead? My '31 coupe has a leaded seam between the quarter window and belt line.

Using the power of science and the most learned brains we've come up with a theory...
In the Summer of '32 one of the farmer's kids, wearing his Bismark hat stood up.
It's either that or...Aliens

There were no metal top Model A cars built from the factory.

This is part of the top after I beat on it for a while. Really rough body. I don't know if you can see the silver looking metal.
Well can't get them to download.
I don't mean the filler for the top. I mean the quarter window sections.

Is it possible the silver looking metal is stainless steel? I have a pick up cowl that is stainless steel on the driver side.

Easy way for pics:
Click the "blue post reply" lower left bottom of page, when text box opens, in the top middle of the bar you will see a "paperclip" next to the smiley face, click that, a window will open "manage attachments" click "choose file" then pick your picture, after you picked up to seven pics click the top "upload" on the right hand side of the text box, wait for it to upload.
You must type something, anything into the text box message, scroll down to see "preview post" at bottom of your text box, you should see your message as it will appear when you post, if you like it click "submit reply" to post.

I've seen a few Model A's with galvanized tin to replace the fabric top. They are usually installed with dozens of screws, then the seam covered with tar.

My friends roadster pickup whole body was galvanized (from Hawaii, from a Naval Commander) The initial problem was getting paint to stick. It was repainted again 25 years ago and it looks great.
