Source for 12-24 thread size screws
Hi Everyone. I'm working on a 32 Ford firewall and it seems that many of the threaded inserts are of the 12-24 thread size. Floor boards, etc.
Anyone know a source for these? Thanks Jim |

Jim most full serve hardware stores will carry them, check your phone book for a local nut and bolt supplier, most have one to supply the auto and construction trade

I tried a local Marysville hardware store but no luck. I'll try a few in Oroville, if you think someone might have them? Thanks Jim |

Re: Source for 12-24 thread size screws
Most hardware stores do not carry them as there is almost zero call for them outside the car group.
You can thank Henry for all the odd ball sizes, including the odd ball head sizes. |

Re: Source for 12-24 thread size screws
If stainless hardware will work for you, Totally Stainless Inc. sells 12-24 hardware. Google them to find their website with online catalog or their 800 phone number to place an order.

Re: Source for 12-24 thread size screws
Someone else was looking for 12-24 hood hinge screws last week for their '35 Ford. I suggested he contact Roy Nacewicz. He did contact Roy but Roy did not have those screws. I checked Roy's latest catalog and sure enough he did not have them listed. I then checked my Totally Stainless Inc. catalog and they did have the 12-24 hardware. Roy is a great source of supply for authentic Ford hardware and now Ford wood products but he does not have every screw, nut and bolt that Ford used on these cars and trucks.

Re: Source for 12-24 thread size screws
I went to several hardware stores in my area until I found some in a little town 30 miles away. They were too long and I had to cut them but they can be found in hardware stores, just not many.I was not in a hurry so I just look in hardware stores as I come by them to look for obscure items.

Re: Source for 12-24 thread size screws
They should be the same as for the Model "A". Check with the "A" vendors, they have them. Snyders, Macs, Brattons. I think they carry them in raven finish.
