Why "Winterfront"? I see what has been called "Pines Trim", but don't see how it would help in the winter.

That is not the Pines Winter Front, its JUST the Pines Trim kit!!! The winter front is a completely separate item!!!! There is one for sale here on the Barn right now but I do not have a photo of it!!! AND NOT sure IF it works in conjunction with the trim kit as it covers the whole front of the grill effectively blocking off air flow to the radiator. IT has a flap that can be opened to let some air in and regulate the flow!!!!

I'm sorry to possibly offend, but that trim is just plain ugly.
The '36 grille is of a beautiful design. Trying to improve upon that, well, it ain't happening.

Nicely done. The hanging gauges seem out of place. But that might just be the mounting system. I'd ditch the the shifter ball, Just an opinion and that is all it is.

Love the faux wood dash painting.

Still one of my fav 36 coupes granted it is a 3w and has an advantage. Wasn't a fan of the red grill.

It's all really a personal opinion. Some like rubber rats hanging off the mirror. What is right or wrong is just opinion and time. Maybe rubber rats will be the next evolution of awesome from here out.

My '36 coupe has been through several generations of modifications since I bought it in 1952. I almost chopped the top and put a '40 LaSalle grille in it in '54, then changed my mind. I did put solid hood panels, '37 DeSoto bumpers and '40 Chevy headlights on the car..It looked really cool. Got tired of that look in 1961, returned the car to a more stock look.
My car has always had a radio where the ash tray would normally be, therefore it has an accessory ash tray under the dash which is different from the accessory tray that is usually in a '36.
I still have the '37 DeSoto bumpers in my parts stash. I had sold them to a friend to put on his '40 coupe, he tired of them, taking the bumper off of his '40. Many years later I bought them back from him.

Under Dash Ash Tray for 1936 Fords when the Accessory Radio is fitted, taking the place where the original Ash Tray was fitted. This 1936 Ford is an open model.

When it comes to accessorizing '36 Fords, or the truth be known the norm for the 1940/50's time frame, I was a master at that.
At one time or another my '36 coupe had just about every accessory known to man on it. Several different styles of full wheel hub caps, flipper disks, Cadillac's, smoothies, etc. the first set of skirts were teardrop flat style, then when they got stolen I bought two sets of regular bubble teardrops, which also got stolen. to stop the hub cap theft I bought locks that attached to the valve stems. Within weeks or buying the locks I took my girl friend to the Senor Prom, when we came out I noted that my car looked much lower than normal. The reason it looked so low, it was sitting on four flat tires. The thief had tried to pry the caps off of the stem locks, resulting in pulling the stems out of the tubes. Caps were gone and I had four flat tires and a very unhappy girl friend sitting on the lawn in her prom dress while I wheeled the tires down the street one at a time to get new tubes.
I gave up on the accessory type hub caps, bought a set of used '46 Ford caps at a wrecking yard, had them on the car for over ten years.
I put solid hood panels and a bullnosed hood ornament on the '36 when I put the hopped up 59AB engine in it in 1954. The hood panels made the engine run very hot in the summer, which made the passenger compartment very hot. Went back to the stock hood panels in less than a year.
By 1955 the wood grained dash was looking pretty tired so I removed it putting a chrome plated dash from a standard in it place, it looked very cool. Never did get around to having the sills chrome plated, opted for black rattle can paint.
I still have the original wood grained dash hanging on the wall in my garage. The dash is kinda sad looking, however, all in all considering it's age it is not to bad. I keep thinking about having the wood-graining on the dash redone and putting it back into the car, maybe some day.
I tend to agree with the comments about the over accessorized cars, a little goes a long ways. I gave up my membership in the "If it Won't Go Chrome it Club" a long time ago.
The attached pix was taken in 1952 with my mother and her friend standing by the back of my '36, the spare tire cover and rear fender are painted with black primer, the result of a woman rear ending the car. the rest of the paint is original Ford black.

Bill has certainly owned this 1936 Ford Five Window Coupe for a very long time. This photo of his Mum and friend with his 1936 Ford Coupe was taken in 1952. Thanks for the great story in Post 45.

The spare tire cover shown on the back of my '36 was on the car when I purchased the car in September of 1952. Come to think about it, "Henry" has an anniversary on September 10, sixty-nine years of ownership.
The tire cover on my car is commonly called the 'Standard cover' for '36. This style of cover was introduced by Ford in August, 1936. My car is a Deluxe, produced in mid/late August, 1936.
I am the second owner of my car, bought it from one of my High School teachers. Mr Blondell has been gone for several years so there is no way to establish how a 'Standard Cover' ended up on a Deluxe car. I do know that a friend of mine in Idaho Falls told me he remembered servicing and/or pumping gas into the car at a Conaco station he worked at that was across the street from our school.
Actually my friend told me the '36 might be for sale because Mr Blondell had come into the station driving a new '52 Ford. I acted on this tip before someone else beat me to it. I paid the princely sum of $125.00 for the car. I say princely, because the average stock 36 Ford could be bought at the time for $50./$75.00.

Oh, those good ole days, when we made $0.65/0.75 cents an hour and used cars could be bought for under one hundred dollar's.

Think about this, .75 per hour is $6.00 per eight hour day, $30.00 per week, $127.50 per month before taxes.. How things have changed.
