Default All state carburator

I had my Model A 31 roadster carburetor rebuilt and was told it's a Allstate. Question Is that like Sears Allstate . Not much history out here on these. Would this have been a replacement carburetor or would have Ford used this units. I'm nosey...... I've taken on this roadster project with little of no knowledge but between the Barn and my good friend Charlie this old girls going to come back to life....
Thanks for any replies.... God Bless

You may have a Tillotson carb. Or a Murry. The Tilly is a good carb.

I believe the Allstate (Sears) carb is a Marvel-Schebler.

I also have read where the M-S carbs were considered Allstate.

Not trying to Hijack this thread but I was out in the shop a couple of days ago looking for my Southwind heater for show and tell at a local cruise in on Monday. Didn't find the heated but did find a Zeneth 2 carb. What did I find, looks like a Zeneth model A Carb. I can't remember where I got it. It was wrapped up in a brown paper bag laying on a shelf in the shop. Not sure but I think my Sounthwind Heater is up in the attic of my shop but will have to wait until my son is here one day, I don't get up in attics or roofs anymore since I lost my leg. I have a protheses and do almost everything I did before but won't get on roofs etc. after looking at the link in Mike V's post above the Carb Pictured there looks very nealy the same as the one I found except mine says Zeneth 2 on the side and at the moment I'm not sure if the fuel inlet is in the same place.

Hi Step-Down,

I was encouraged to use the Allstate 2405 I found in my 29 Roadster's trunk, particularly by JD Miller.

I've used it for 2 years now (admittedly very low mileages) and prefer to keep my beautifully restored Doug Hudspeth Zenith on a shelf (sad but true).

Here are some links that may help -
