You've got a 1937 McCulloch there. The first year they made them. They made them for both Mercurys and Fords and the model number designated which one you had. I think I've spoken with you before about you missing your tag.

The tripple pulleys that came with this set up were on 1936 style water pumps that mounted to the head. There was also a triple pulley on the crank, and an idler arm that had a large hard rubber wheel that pulled in on the outside of the belt. These items are probably impossible to find.

What you need is the double pulley truck pumps and double pulley crank. Be cautious on the crank pulley though. The crank snout on the earlier engines is a different diameter than the later engines, so there are two different crank double pulleys out there. Avoid the even later tin double pulley that has the two pulleys spaced apart from each other.

Here is a test fit on my 40 flatty before I installed the double pulleys.




The generator mounted further back on the head and ran off the rear pulley. I plan on using a double pulley generator as my idler arm to hold the belts tight.

They will run all right with twin pulleys rather than triples. A guy here in NZ runs one with double pulleys.

Oh... haha. No. There is only one carb on top of the centrifugal blower.

I am using a second carb to hold the intake up on the ground, but this blower only uses one carb.

You can always add a "Y" splitter on top for dual carbs..

I ran one like Jasons on my 40 for 10 years, I used the truck water pumps with 2 belts and a home made bottom pulley. The 37-48 truck pumps have bearings instead of bushings. All those belts wear out the brass bushing pumps. Walt

Ha. No. That is not my yellow 32. That was built by a father son team in Melbourne Australia. Also the super charger on the yellow 32 is a 1938 model McCulloch. It has a different water inlet with one of the water hoses from the radiator going into the top of it and no bolts around the centrifugal top.

The 1937 like mine and super flat's was designed to bolt on to the stock 1936 intake.

In the years after the first year, they were sold as more of a complete top kit, intake and super charger.

Here's my 37, using pullys made from that stuff We don't talk about. Using Gen for tensioner, looking for parts to make up seperate tensioner. So far have about 8K miles with no problems.

Saw a 36 coupe at a cruise this summer with one that was NOS with all the parts.
Didn't have a camera that night. Hope he will drive it to Colchester this month or next year.

'kat, a screw blower is very much more efficient than the early McCulloch, and in fact it is more efficient than a Roots type blower. Google "screw blower" to see the difference between a lobe rotor vs. a screw rotor blower.
