Default Stimsonite...

I assume they were a replacement parts manufacture for lights and lenses? Was doing some exploratory work on my project and discovered that one of the taillight lenses that I assumed to be Ford wasn't. Something someone could have bought at their old parts store and put on easily themselves, correct?

If you are referring to Stimsonite Corp of Niles, Illinois, they were a supplier to Ford. Many Stimsonite Duolamp lenses were on Fords. There were and are aftermarket and reproduction parts made though. Some glass & some plastic. Stinsonite with an N was a close copy that didn't invade the trademark.

The only lettering you will find on '33 and up tail lamp lenses that were used by Ford in original production in the U.S. will be the word 'Stimsonite'.
