Two 94s on an Offy Regular Dual?
There is a whole truckload of info about this on the interweb, but about a gazillion different opinions on jet size, PV, and I'd kinda like to hear from folks who have done this exact setup. 59A has milled heads, 3/4 cam, headers, and is in a fairly light AV8. Trying to get a definitive answer, I guess.
Jet size? Stock 51s? PV? Stock? |

I go with stock jet sizes initially and usually a 3.5 or 4.5 power valve.

I'd get a copy of JWL's "Flathead facts" He covers this in detail, with dyno runs an most popular carbs and combinations. You might also find that putting spacers under the carb improves drivability among other things.

If you re-read my book you will find that starting with stock 051 jets is a good play. You will also read that best power under the available atmospheric conditions during testing was with .048 jets. And, finally, you will be able to read about why the PV vacuum number will need to be lowered.

One companies 3/4 often differs substantially from another. Same with all types. In essence the terms like 3/4 and full don't meen Jack. Hence an earlier poster asking what 3/4 cam. Martin |

Thats why i asked what cam. I have a cam that i was told was a 3/4 cam that has 280 duration and 375 lift. I had to run a 3.5 pv. |

Re: Two 94s on an Offy Regular Dual?
If I remember correctly, I used 49 jets and 4.5 power valves in this. Fellow who mounted it has a non-stock cam (don't recall the specs). For a starting point, seemed to be right. Idles fine, goes to high idle without a hiccup, no black smoke. Caveat, it is still on a stand. His '32 Gov't. Motors coupe isn't quite ready for it, yet.

Those numbers usually would dictate a "full race" in most cam catalogs, but compare that to an Isky full race, the 88. Your "3/4" makes that "full race" 88, seam fairly tame. What grind is your cam, just out of interest? Martin. |

Thanks, a lot of work, but enjoyable. I don't care for off the shelf stuff. I was hoping I could find someone else who didn't, and I did!
