My first farm tractor was an 8N. The harder I pushed the brakes the faster it went! Then I bought a `54 Ferguson. Still have it.

I want one with a flat head V8! I have seen kits for that swap.

I don't have anything old, but my 601 sure works well, and it has power steering! I maintain our road, do mowing and some spraying with it.

I have a love affair with their cousin the Ferguson. Have a 49 TO20. I love all vintage tractors though. Great thread!

Only if they run! My dad would tell how much use an old tractor had by looking at the wear in the drawbar hole. He was fond of saying that Fordsons all had good drawbars because no farmer could stand to run one long enough to wear the drawbar hole egg-shaped! They were too hot and noisy. Their worm drive rear ends whined like mad and you sat right over those overheated gears.

I wish my post-hole digger worked as well as that one did!
