New Project
Well what can I say, the bug bites deep, and it seems everyone has at least two in various stages. Here's some pix of the beast, a 1930-31 AA.
P.S. some one call me a cab, and a pair of doors, and a hood, and a.......... |

Re: New Project
Congradulations on your new baby! As you can see by the smilie (if I had one that was drooling) I am envious about your new purchase. I want an A or AA bad to use as a truck and for just having fun in. Now, I have two questions for you:
1) Are the cab, hood etc. the same as the regular pickup? If so then you should be able to find something fairly easily. 2) Is the frame tweaked a bit? It looks like in your last photo that the pass side frame rail is a bit higher than the driver side. Or is that the way the photo was taken? Mike

Re: New Project
Oh yeah there is a wholelotta tweaking going on. Some of it is in the rear suspension. I think the left rear spring pack has been over loaded and bent. I won't know for sure unitil I pull her apart. Cabs and ancillary pieces are rare as hens teeth up here, but my bro has hooked me up with a express bed nearby. She could be a flat bed as well. I have lots of time to find the sheet metal, as the running gear will all be gone through after the frame has been staightened out.
Nice to have the coupe for chasing parts! Cheers! |

Re: New Project
If it were Stainless is should be non-magnetic (I think). If it is Stainless it can be TIG welded, ground and polished. If it has been plated...Hopefully it is carbon steel.
