Default Getting there on aluminum.

The cylinder sleeves are ordered for the first 2 aluminum blocks. The 3 main block is spoken for but I'm not sure if someone here wanted the fist 5 main aluminum block. If someone wants it please PM me so I know who it is. Lots going on and my memory has never been very good.

5 main cores are being made for those who want 5 main iron or aluminum blocks. Let me know. I have 4 sets ordered as of now.

Tod, I still want a 5 mains iron block.

Any news on 5 mains crankshaft?? I think I remember reading on the HAMB that you were looking into a crank also. Thanks.

What bearings will your 5 main blocks use?

I would have to ask one of the builders near me what they would do. The aluminum under way now will go to one of them to be finished, and the builder will probably just deal with the customer directly.

Good on you Tod, GREAT news !!

I'm still of the opinion that when those who are standing by to see how the first 5 main, 5 cam bearing iron blocks are done, that those orders will flow in !
I do not 'blame' anyone standing on the side, waiting. It is common that people in general wait on the sidelines, for others to step into the 'water' first and see how it works out. I can hardly wait for the first iron 5 main block so that I can build it and make some good enduring and reliable power, with no more cracks , bad metal and other costly concerns to worry about.
Only concern is for the right 5 main crank...what to do !

Tod, you might also ask Joe Sivil , regarding insert bearings, etc recommendation. He uses inserts to build some fine Banger engines !

Hey Scott,
I have Joe's number if you would like . Also, email to share.
If I remember correctly, when I spoke with him at Turlock this year, he said that Tom (SCAT cranks, etc) has talked with him and indicated that he would make 5 main cranks for the Tod blocks.

I've also spoken to a prominent crank maker who quoted me nearly 3K for a forged 5 main. Don't know what Tom will be asking for his (cast ?).
I have Tom's # also , if you are looking to talk with him.

One way or other...we will geterdone !

Want to ask here if anyone else intends to get in on the order for first batch of 5 main, 5 cam bearing cast iron blocks that Tod is in process of making ? Bottom cores are already in works. BUT....
now is the time / chance for Tod to make BLOCK core change(s) to make OHV Head usage ONLY blocks.
This allows for less machining and more metal for stronger block, as the intake pushrod holes only will be made. As said....only for OHV use. Therefor, no plugging intakes with aluminum plugs/no seats, stronger block.

Since you (Scott) and I are in for this type block, I need to know if anyone else wants one of this type block. PM me if you do, so that I can send info to Tod as soon as possible. Thanks !

I got the first batch of 5 main cores in Friday. I didn't order enough for the blocks that people are stepping up wanting. Nice problem to have, I suppose. I can't wait to get these cast.

Pictured is one of the front cores solidly packed for shipping.

Tod,
This is Alan Bennett and I would be interested in a standard block if you are making them.
Please let me know cost and when they would be available as I have an H&H block with 70,000 miles on it. I am hoping it will hold on but not very confident. I am sure you know what I am talking about
