Interesting car.

I used to get OCW pretty religiously, liked it a lot, but the USPS must have had some guy who liked it even more I would only get on average 1 maybe 2 out of four issues, always missing two or three in a row.

Dropped the subscription. They (OCW)tried to help when I called them, problem was at the Post Office. They (USPS) wouldn't do anything about it...................

That crossed the auction block before. I believe at the same venue a couple of years ago. From memory, it did not meet the reserve price.

Yea, the 10's of thousands of magazines that pass threw the distribution center they programmed the machinery to pick out your name and send only a few a year. Sounds right.

Ranking any model A no matter how rare as the first, second most valuable is rather silly imho. Any good is only worth what someone is willing to spend. Theoretically A standard roadster could fetch town car money at a prestigious auction if two guys wives think it's cute enough and have more money than sense. On the flip side this could go for 70k or less if nobody with cash in hand is interested enough. I won't argue that it's not cool, unique, and probably worth more though.

So this begs the question: what is the most valuable A out there?

What about the Stainless Steel A? Sometime back I think the asking price was 6 figures.

Yes, when I read that I also thought that one would rank higher IMHO. I would also rank Don Bivens' 1927 Tudor with its' documented history as higher than this one too.

No, what he is saying is that he believed an employee was snagging the mag before it got delivered to him.

Also...

The Coupe/Trailer reached $70k back in 2012 but did not meet the reserve.

It has also been previously discussed here...

My guess is the town car prototype built in 1928. I saw it years ago at a MARC national.
