Anyone have a rough idea of 37 sedan body weight?
Hi,
I tried searching for this but didn't find the answer. Does anyone have any idea of what the body weight is of a 1937 Ford sedan. Everything minus frame and running gear. Thanks -Don |

early Ford maintenance book shows weight at around 2650 lb dry, no fluids, not sure less rolling chassis, my guess would be 800 - 1000 lbs, depending on whether or not all glass and seats were still in.

Re: Anyone have a rough idea of 37 sedan body weight?
I can't accurately answer your question for a '37 tudor sedan. What I can tell you is a '35 tudor sedan body that i have completely gutted weighs ~ 400-500 lbs. Two of us together have lifted this shell and moved it around in my garage. Now if we are talking about a truly complete '35 or '37 tudor body with EVERYTHING still in place, and just the bolts removed that hold it to the frame, I believe Blacknred is pretty close with his upper range weight estimate of ~ 1000 lbs.
