Default Owen dyneto 1B question

I would love some help with my Owen Dyneto windshield wiper. Basically I need the set up of the main (drive) shaft. A picture with the cover taken off, showing the installed shaft would really help !
I guess mine has been fiddled around with. On the outside there (from left to right) is the hand operating lever, then the wiper arm, then a spring, then the housing. On the inside there is the little gear, a spring, a washer, a pin.
This set-up is responsible for the wiper arm being mounted too far away from the backing plate, hence I need to add extra rubber to instal the wiper and on the inside of the car the shafts are too short to install any levers.

All help is welcomed,

Henk

Mike, you are a great help ! I know what to change now. I am missing the little bush between the spring and the housing. I also have an obsolete spring sitting on the outside of the casing.
