Default Carpet fasteners

The various catalogs I have list one piece and two piece front carpet fasteners. Which is correct?

Thank you very much for the reply. I expected that to be the case since the 68C Restoration Manual stated "there are six snaps on the underside of carpet to fasten to the floor". "Underside" being the key word.

I do not understand why vendors are selling incorrect 2 piece fasteners.
