It would be soooo good to have the confidence to hit the road in my '35. Put twenty different items in my shopping cart last night, about $450 without shipping. Got the Auburn radials mounted and balanced this week! Lining things up for an engine swap too!

Yes, on the grounds of the meet hotel. As you probably know, you must be registered for the meet to obtain a swap meet space. Some object to that Club policy, but it is a requirement of the Club's liability insurance and not something within the power of the Club to change.

Holy cow Jeff! Sounds like you're really diving into the '35. I'm going to have to take it for a spin again just to get the before and after feel for the car. Have fun!

We are planning some extra days for activities and visiting attractions before, during, and after the actual meet dates, that will make this about a two week trip/vacation. This is basically an informal group of friends who have met up over the years at our local V8 Club Regional Group(s), at previous V8 Club National Meets, through Fordbarn, during driving tours, etc. Basically anyone who cares to join in with us, and we always have a great time on these vetures.

Hey Mike and Crew . . . I've never been to this show, but it gives me a good goal for next Spring. I think I'll register and plan on bringing my 32 Cabriolet there. It is not a stock 32 (has a pretty bad-ass flathead in it) - are vintage 'hotrods' frowned upon? If they are, then I won't bring it . . .

I hope you do register and bring that 32 to Dearborn. There are show classes for both modified and display cars. At the '16 ENM in Gettysburg, Pa., and the '16 WNM in Bakersfield, Ca, there were modified Fords with some very "bad-ass" FH engines in both modified and display classes. Bring it on

If you haven't been there it should be on your list of things to do. Modified flathead cars are certainly welcome. It's all about the fun with old V-8 Fords.

One of the planned non-concourse events is on the grounds of Greenfield Village at the Henry Ford. They have their own (stricter) rules regarding modified vehicles permitted on the grounds. If your modifications are all under the hood and beneath the fenders, it's flathead, and not wildly painted, there should be no problem gaining entry to the grounds. The Club's rules prevail at all other events.
