Default The way of the future, lets hope not!!!

Anyone buying that the "TESLA" is such a great car and EV is such the way of the future that it is "rescuing" two, not one BUT TWO fossil fuel automobiles??

My bet is "NO". What cannot be seen in my photo that I personally took driving by on my "my fast horse", was the sets of cables running from both fossil fuel vehicles to the Tesla!!!

My great grandfather ran a drayline out of Cedar Falls Iowa in the latter part of the 1800's and into the early 1900's. . Horses of course. Those damn auto and trucks put him out of business. Likewise, the electric cars will be replaced by something someday. Technology is moving so fast now. Our good old flathead Fords will be here for as long as most of our members will be here to enjoy and appreciate them. You can't stop progress even if it does not appear to be progress to us.

Well stated and so true, Cadillac512. I will not park an electric vehicle inside my garage for safety reasons. Technology has not been perfected, quite yet, obviously. I also cannot afford a "throw-away" car at such time that the batteries need to be replaced.

Guys Please excuse me for not being up to date on this modern stuff.
Are you saying that all of those exposions are electric cars / vehicles that are blowing
up like that? Is this what we have to look forward to?
If so I'm going to be driving my normal gasolene powered vehicles as long as I can do it. Jay

Despite all the naysaying, EVs will get where they need to be for range, safety, etc. folks laughed at the gas powered contraptions banging and wheezing along over a century ago. Hard to fathom just how far autos have come in the last quarter century. Whether windchargers and solar panels keep up with demand, time will tell. ‘Til then, will keep my butt in seat of dragline exposing the cheap, reliable coal.

What is more flammable and even explosive than gasolene? (Look what it did to that bridge in Pennsylvania.) They figured out how to make it safe, I'm sure they can do it with batteries.
