Default 1931 Slant Window Questions

Two questions, need to repalce header. Do you have to cut and remove metal header panel to accomplish this? On rear valance panel there are 3 holes on each end flange. Are these holes used to bolt to fender? I have an original fender with dimple and there are no holes for this? Thanks for any help.

Cut the metal header panel? Mine just unbolt and unscrew and out she comes, after you take the wind shield out of course
We are talking about the lower interior metal panel...aren't we?

the header panel is welded on each end to the door post nailed on the top and held on the bottom with the windshield hinge screws. make sure when installing the header that you have it the correct measurement for the windshield opening then make sure when you reinstalling the header panel that it is in the correct spot. over the years I have had to cut down four windshields because the header and header panel were not installed correctly.
