Default Renner's carb jets

I installed my new Renner's jets yesterday, and went for a little drive. The car runs very smoothly and responds well, though it wasn't too bad before. I'm hoping these calibrated jets will improve my mileage, which is usually about 14-15 mpg. I'll report back after my first tank.

what jets were in your carb prior to installing these?

the carb wont run rich with them, and the gav is more responsive especially cold..this depends on what set up was previously installed. i am comparing the crap jets from the suppliers.

as far a fuel mileage i never care about that as long as its running 100% and a good burn on the electrodes i know i am getting the best possible

also make sure your throttle shaft has no play...

Mitch, I was running original jets that had pretty good calibration, and the car ran well. I threw out all those crappy repro jets when I ran flow tests on everything I had last fall.

The throttle shaft has a good fit. And I did notice I had to make a different GAV adjustment after installing the Renner's.

My plugs had good color with the old jets. It will be interesting to pull those in a 100 miles or so and see what the new jets are doing.

thats a good sign on the GAV being more responsive... your carb was probably running to fat... how have your plugs been burning prior to this?

I really like the Renner tested jets.

you don't need to wait 100 miles. 5 miles will tell.
Not too white, now, else you'll start burning valves.
Remember, a lean mixture has too much oxygen, and the burnt valve is really an oxidized valve

They were a light, dry brown. And it was running pretty rich, just going by the smell.
