Not a fan of having lots of accessories on a Model A...... includes step plates, stone guards, white walls, headlight visors. I think an unadorned Model A looks just right the way it is, but lots of folks disagree.....

If (?) I wanted to install the step plates on a '29 Coupe, where on the running board are they mounted, as measured from the front of the rubber. Can't seem to find any "standard" measurment.

Just step on the running board and climb into the car, and notice where your foot goes on the running board. Mount them where your foot goes.

If you are undecided, just use some kind of removable glue or two way tape to mount them.

I bought a pair for my 1929 Chevy Coach, and was undecided, so I waited a year, then finally drilled the mounting holes in nice original running boards. The second I drilled the last hole I knew I made a mistake.

As Tom has eluded, there is no "standard" measurement.

Get your foot dusty and without looking at the running board get in and out of the car a time or two. Then look at the foot prints.
