Default Thanks to all the Barn guys solve my problem with Temp.

Just wanted to say THANKS TO ALL who helped with my overheat problem.

Just completed installing the Vintage A thermostat and housing.

1. First new Berg radiator. (corrected the cooling issue)
2. Bill's nail in the overflow (corrected the cooling loss under load)
3. Vintage 160 thermostat and Vintage A housing.

No coolant loss even under heavy loads
Even temp. Engine runs much smoother
Now able to run GAV at 1/4 open or less

Inexpensive fix... NO correct YES solution for the touring Model A

Haven't had to try Bill's nail at this point, but the Vintage Precision T-Stat housing with 160 degree T-Stat, and the new Bergs Radiator seem to be the perfect solution, for me anyway.
