I a 34 roaster with columbia rear end the car has all the right stuff for it but the valve for the vacuum on the transmission has any body found something to replace it with or is any one running with out it thanks mike

As above John re-manufactures the valve in question along with the linkage to the clutch pedal. He also has all the other 34 controls. Not a good idea to go without the clutch control since the Columbia will then be able shift under load (NO NO). If you have an original 34 Columbia the internal parts are not available as replacement.

You can use a electric 12 volt valve to shift
the Columbia. It will shift with 6 volts. Look in past

Your Columbia will work without the clutch valve . Just never forget to have the clutch petal pushed to the floor and your foot off the gas petal before you turn the handle on the dash to change the vacuum shifting up or down .

The safest albeit expensive way, is with the hydraulic unit engaged with full clutch depression. You could probably wire a normally open electric brake light switch, mounted so that it completes the circuit with the clutch engaged.

With just a solenoid, it would only take one time of forgetting to depress the clutch to potentially ruining the Columbia.
