Default Stromberg 81 V8-60 repair

Been chasing a high speed misfire for ages, thinking it was ignition. On attached photo you will see the accelerator pump nozzles have been mangled by a previous owner (why?!) and I am now told they also provide feed from the high speed jet, hence my lack of high speed.

They won't pull out, I am planning to drill them out and bend up new nozzles from 3/32" brass tube. Any thoughts on this plan?

Contact Uncle Max. He advised me on how to remove the old tubes in a 97 I was rebuilding and install a set of new tubes that I bought from him.

The tubes have the special end and discharge size, so use Stromberg replacements. Max is the man for parts or work on the Strombergs.

The starting point is the larger bit around the tube right where it disappears into the casting...that is a sort of wedge that you need to grip and start to moving! Tubes will be available from Max.
