Default install front fender??

Installing front fenders on '30 Fodor. is there part of the fender lip that has to fit between the body and the frame like the lip of the splash apron?

No, the fender is free fitting.

Yes, if it has the part of the splash shield as part of the fender

Depends on which configuration you have.

In early to mid '30, the splash apron had a seam right at the front of the running board. The front part of the apron was actually spot welded to the front fender. The rest of the apron was part of the running board. The part of the apron that was welded to the front fender went under the front corner of the body.

Later in the '30 production (apx. Sept), the apron was one long piece and the front fender bolted to it at the front. The running board was a separate component. This design carried over into the '31 production.

You will have to lift the front corner of the body to slid the skirt under the body. Not too bad a job. Take your time. It will go, let us know.

So....in the case of my car, the answer is "yes" the fender lip does fit up into the space between the body and frame.....and its not a horrible job to make that happen. Now, the question is, does the frame welting continue between the fender and the frame all the way to the front end of the frame?
