Default Happy 90 years old 6/18/29 firewall cars.

Our 1929 Sport Coupe has a firewall date of June 18, 1929. That’s today.

I know it doesn’t mean that was the date of the cars assembly, but for me it’s close enough.

Happy birthday to all the 6/18/29 cars out there.

Our engines approval date is 6/15/29. So there close. Numbers matching.

We have had this car for 40 years. A lot of really great memories. Enjoy.

Any other cars out there with the same date?

How about a picture of your car and of the firewall date?

At one time a few years ago we had triplets in our club.
3 Model A Tudors all built in the Twin Cities plant and all 3 had firewall dates of 2-23-29.

Happy birthday!!

Our Roadster has a firewall date of 4/20/29, we had cake and beer to celebrate its 90th. Engine and frame numbers match and are in the range for the April date.

This is completely off topic but not!?!? It is about the different way we write dates.
We write day/month/year so today is 19/06/2019 (or 19/6/19 - ascending order). I believe Europe write them in descending order. But I digress.
Friends of ours were visiting the US recently and while there, their son turned 21 which meant he was legally able to enter a bar etc. (That happens at 18 here). As he and his family entered, he was challenged by security and asked to prove his age. He showed them his driver's license but because of the different way dates are written, when read the US way, he wasn't yet 21 so he was excluded. His whole family decided to go elsewhere. The dumb assed security guys couldn't conceive the notion that not everywhere writes dates the same as in the US even though his father showed his license which would have had him born in the 23rd month!!!!

Yeah, some folks just dont know...not aware or even worldly, out side of their own little world of limited experience, knowledge, and education, or lack thereof.
Just my observations.

My sport coupe 1/29/29 tank date shows an engine assembly date of 1/25/29,matching engine and frame numbers. Interesting that the dates are so close, fuel tank and engine assembly within a few days of each other, given the differences in assembly times of a fuel tank and engine.Even with the intricate welding process they should knock out the tanks way quicker than engines..even more interesting when you consider logistics..an engine and tank built at the Rouge, shipped to California (for instance) and assembled with parts made in a few days of each other..Makes you wonder if they slowed certain lines to avoid warehousing and control over run.
