Default wide belt sanden compressor

I haven't found any info on this problem.
Installing a/c in my 46 sedan.
Using the alan grove bracket.
I happen to have a sanden 508 and chevy alternator.
The wide belt pulley is easy to find for the alternator.
Where can I find the wide belt pulley for my sanden compressor?
There has to be a source somewhere out there.
thanks,
dave-TX

Several years ago I changed from a v-belt to serpentine on a 302 I had. I called Vintage Air about a pulley. They told me I couldn't change the pulley, I had to buy a new compressor.

I talked to Vintage Air.
They said that they can only sell the complete Sanden compressor and clutch.
There has got to be a place to get just the pulley.
I even checked the Sanden company site.
There are some clutch specs, but not much for that 508 compressor.
Those that seem to be close appear to be for industrial equipment.
I wonder what a good machinist would charge to make one?

You might have to just buy the complete compressor with pulley. Sell or trade the other one?

It may cost more trying to make a pulley. I got my Flathead wide belt Sanden from Summit. Best price I could find and free shipping. Good luck with your project.

Yeah. Buying the whole unit is around $200. You could even swap pulley and clutch if you are married to the Sanden that you already have.
Or use a new piece, sell what you've got. You're going to come out ahead in time, money and frustration having someone make one.
