Default 47 Ford Trunk emblem

Looking for a picture of what an original trunk emblem mounting stud/bolt assembly looks like. Mine has been repaired with epoxy holding the studs/bolt & broke. Trunk has 3 holes for 3 mounting bolts but mine only had 2 & the repo ones only have 2. I understand the original Ford emblem used 3 with some sort of mounting plate.

Here's mine. Mounting plates were originally brazed on but have all broken off so I secured them with epoxy. It's lasted for 7 years now and 50,000 miles.

Thanks Old Henry , I will make up some stainless mounting plates with studs/bolts & try silver soldering or tack welding them in. They look to be 1/4 inch studs/bolts.

Silver solder should work. The stainless will discolor a little from the heat , but it should buff right out.

I had no holes in my boot lid....or should I say trunk lid because mine had come off a 46 and new mounting plates had been brazed on the back of the spear by a P O and not evenly spaced. What a rigmarole to mount the damn thing. first I had to get the measurment of where one should be mounted off a another 47 in my city, then I had to make a card template of the spear, position it on the lid with double side tape ensuring it was centred and exactly horizontal and in the right place then drill the holes. A bugger of a job that took the best part of a morning.
