Default Stromberg 97 - Edelbrock Question for Uncle Max

Picked this up today, anyone seen the EDELBROCK marking on a Stromberg 97 before? Uncle Max?

I'd bet these are converted for alcohol. They use to sell retro kits and I'd also Vic and the crew converted some for customers as well.

Check the main jet size. If around .075 they are for alcohol.

Aaaaah!! yes THE PURPLE STUFF. Back in the day there was a purple alchy antifreeze, good stuff, never figgered out how to uz the stuff.

A quick look from the top down, into the minor venturiis, will reveal emulsion tubes that you could drive a truck through if they've been converted for alcohol. If that's the case, they can't be undrilled.

Any one seen one with these markings before? The carb looks relatively standard in jets, PV and emulsion tubes?
