Default Disconnect switch

Have purchased a disconnect switch for my a. I have converted to 12volt negative ground. Should i switch the neg. Or pos. Cable?

Different opinions here at different times; however, please search on line.

A few disconnect "manufacturers" recommend installation details.

For peace of mind, please read what disconnect "manufacturers" recommend.

Then "you" make the decision.

place it in the negative and the reason being is that if any of the cables going to the switch was to ever suffer a rub thru or contact with a ground it wont short out and burn. just like if your removing the battery cable ends remove the neg first then the pos. reason being if your wrench hits a ground when disconnecting the pos first while the neg is still on it will create a firework. real world answers.
this is info for your 12v neg system

FWIW:

Appears everybody thus far is agreeing with all of the vehicle & marine disconnect manufacturer's recommendations that I have read; i.e., place disconnect on the battery's ground cable for various different reasons.
